I am a mother of 6 beautiful children, an RN with a BS in Biology and a lover of all things art. I think I can trace that love back to a kindergarten teacher that critiqued me when I used a white crayon to draw on an off-white piece of construction paper. I was mortified, crushed, but became motivated to ``get it right!`` I have since learned that there really is no ``wrong`` or ``right`` in art. We are all individuals created to be creative and art comes from our unique character and the passion in our souls.
My goal is to help fuel that passion and to help you recognize the beauty in imperfection.
I'm a mommy of 3, lover of Jesus and family, and I love drinking iced coffee and getting paint on my hands! I discovered my ability to draw when I was 15 years old in a beginners art class in high school. I fell in love with all forms of art and haven't looked back since!
Hi. I am Chelsea Nelson. I am a mommy and wife, a maker-of-all-the-things, lover of Jesus, friend to all and drinker of all the coffee.
I am an award-winning local artist and a graduate from Troy University’s Studio Arts Program. I am almost always wearing paint or charcoal, and prefer to think of it as a fashion statement. I started teaching young, and have over 10 years of experience teaching the arts with students ranging from young in age to young at heart.
``I am a musicology student and I have been creating things ever since I could pick up a pencil. I love all art and believe that it provides an outlet of expression that is essential to being human. Getting messy while making it is a plus!``
